WEEK ONE: MINGLE 2

MINGLE

Wow... well then. Things certainly happened, didn't they? It seems as though things have calmed down once again in the Prism after the events of this weekend. You have lodging and food now, and while the area is still cold and monochrome in some places you've restored and gained access to four colorful spaces.

In the morning, everyone receives a text on their phones. Or, a picture with a text, actually.

BEHOLD

At the far end of the park in the central node, you'll hear the faint sound of rumbling as something new appears. Perhaps you wish to take a look?

For those of you feeling particularly daring, you are free to explore a bit further on your own.

Before you venture too far, though, make sure you take a moment to check out the booth in the lobby of the apartments. Seems like it's not broken anymore!

So much excitement for one day. Maybe take a moment to evaluate how you're feeling. Some of you might have gained or lost a color as time moved on. Not just that, though. Throughout the course of this week you will find yourself coming into the possession of a new talent that belongs to someone else. Other times, you'll find that you've lost your own talents and are unable to perform as expected. That's cumbersome, isn't it? Look on the bright side! Maybe you'll discover a new hobby this way.

Finally, as always, you may contact the residents at any time. They may even have something new for you to do.

Welcome to your week one mingle for [community profile] chroma!

Things of note:
► This week's effect is talent loss/talent gain! You'll randomly over the week lose something you're very good at, and gain something you've never been able to do before. Go wild with this as long as you're not breaking things.
Player location submissions are now open!
moida submissions are also now open!
► More to come... keep your eyes and ears open.

[I'll be nice and give him a truth.]

What's a game you actually like to play?

I am not generally one for games, truthfully. I prefer other forms of diversion, such as debate.

Well...I guess debate can count as a hobby, sure.

Do you win your debates most of the time?

Winning is not exactly the point, but I suppose I have a respectable record, yes.

If winning isn't the point, then what is the point?

The point is engaging in an exchange of opinions and ideas, occasionally refining the latter through their defense. In this way one may acquire and provide feedback, consider further viewpoints, or simply exercise one's mind.

[Huh...sounds interesting, actually.]

Ever had a debate that made you drastically change your mind about something?

[hm. he considers this for some time, actually, before:]

...no. Naught which comes to mind.

Huh. What about the reverse: have you ever convinced someone to change their mind about something?
