WEEK ONE: MINGLE 2
MINGLE

Wow... well then. Things certainly happened, didn't they? It seems as though things have calmed down once again in the Prism after the events of this weekend. You have lodging and food now, and while the area is still cold and monochrome in some places you've restored and gained access to four colorful spaces.
In the morning, everyone receives a text on their phones. Or, a picture with a text, actually.
BEHOLD
At the far end of the park in the central node, you'll hear the faint sound of rumbling as something new appears. Perhaps you wish to take a look?
For those of you feeling particularly daring, you are free to explore a bit further on your own.
Before you venture too far, though, make sure you take a moment to check out the booth in the lobby of the apartments. Seems like it's not broken anymore!
So much excitement for one day. Maybe take a moment to evaluate how you're feeling. Some of you might have gained or lost a color as time moved on. Not just that, though. Throughout the course of this week you will find yourself coming into the possession of a new talent that belongs to someone else. Other times, you'll find that you've lost your own talents and are unable to perform as expected. That's cumbersome, isn't it? Look on the bright side! Maybe you'll discover a new hobby this way.
Finally, as always, you may contact the residents at any time. They may even have something new for you to do.

Welcome to your week one mingle for

Things of note:
► This week's effect is talent loss/talent gain! You'll randomly over the week lose something you're very good at, and gain something you've never been able to do before. Go wild with this as long as you're not breaking things.
► Player location submissions are now open!
► moida submissions are also now open!
► More to come... keep your eyes and ears open.

[ By the sounds of it. ]
Teach me something.
[ These DARES ]

I--yes? Ohh. Are you learning to dance, Estinien-san?
[HE'S SO TALL, FUCK.] How about the Foxtrot? [She will stand beside him and show him slowly the steps for the male part.
Feet together, weight on the right foot! Slow walking forward step with left. Slow forward step with the right. Quick sideways with the left foot. Bring the right foot quickly to the left to close.]
Posture is everything in dance, so you have to keep your face straight and shoulders up. If you don't have good posture, no one will take you seriously.

[ HE JUST WANTS TO MAKE THAT CLEAR.
But because he has had a drink or two and the party effect makes him more willing to do this than he normally would, he follows Chinatsu's suggestions.
He's not the worst. He can do the motions right. Just not a lot of bounce in those steps. ]
Is this not basically walking?
no subject
Wow. You're not bad, Estinien-san... [She smirks some at the question.] When you're learning the steps, yeah.
When you're dancing as a couple in a competition, it's a lot more brisk. I'd show you, but... you're too tall, so the positioning wouldn't be right.
...You'd have to do it with Borel-san because he's one of the few who is your height.
no subject
Aymeric is practiced in these manners, and would be more like to attempt to school me thoroughly. I only need learn how to do it, not actually execute it.
no subject
Borel-san can dance...?! I saw it on his profile, but he never said anything... [His method of quick escape makes her laugh.] Those are the basic steps to the Foxtrot.
It's very elegant.
[Sorry, Estinien.]
no subject
[ Estinien has never bothered, though he probably would surprisingly not be god-awful at it if he tried. ]
If you say so.
no subject
Ohh. Like the people from Europe a long time ago... [Pats his arm.] I think you actually dance better than my partner back home, Estinien-san.
no subject
[ REALLY...? ]
That... sounds... unfortunate.
[ He would not ever advertise his ballroom dancing ability to be decent. ]
no subject
He's not... terrible, but he's the worst lead I've ever seen.

But we're working with Hyoudou sensei at her studio for practice.

[ Says it like he doubts it, seems more invested than a hobby. ]
no subject
Then looks a tad embarrassed.]
...It was.
no subject
[ Why are you embarrassed!! ]
no subject
[a now it is...
???]
no subject
[ ??? Except it sounds like she does??? ]
no subject
[She
slaps her hand over her mouth. HELLO? WHAT IS HAPPENING.]
no subject
...And so what, you never picked it back up again since? You seem comfortable with it for someone who hasn't danced in...
I presume...
...Years?
[ Wtf is middle school. ]
no subject
It hasn't been very long... I started again because the boy who sits behind me in school needed a partner.
no subject
...
If it is your passion to do so, then I don't see why not.
no subject
[Her stupid Tatara.]
I wasn't going to... since I hadn't planned to dance anymore. It's not like I could go any further as a female lead. But... then Aki... [She looks disgruntled for a second.] Well, anyway, I'm going to make her eat her words.
no subject
[ There's a vague tone of amusement in there. Been there done that. ]
I don't see why not, to make others realise you're more than what they thought you could be.
no subject
I guess she thought I was like all the other girls who gave up. But I'm going to win with Tatara.
[Or... like... TRY... to win.]
