WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

Oh, I've seen quite enough. The decrepit tree? It's useless clock? The fact that the color's been drained from our clothing? I could go on...

[Not that Atsushi has gone looking down them either, but he might as well mention them now.]
Besides, if we're to find the ability-user causing this and get them to let us all go, laying down won't help with that.
no subject
By getting them to let us all go, do you intend on negotiating peacefully or kicking their teeth in? I doubt whatever boogieperson brought us here is going to let us go just like that.

[He smiles like he isn't just a twink with a stutter.]
no subject
Hmmm... [ wow he'll sit up, pause a moment and then slowly straighten out his now dark coat, smoothing his hands over the front. ] No doubt I'd like to give them a piece of my mind as well.
Now, what were you saying about the archways. Is there anything particular about them? Or should we go see?
no subject
Atsushi Nakajima. I hope we can get along for long enough to say our piece to whoever did this.
[By words or by fists, statements will be made.]
They seem to be, ah...gateways, kind of? They look like they should lead to nowhere, but they actually go to other places.
[I'm saying he hasn't closely inspected any of them yet, just confirmed that yes they be portals.]
no subject
Percival Fredrickstein Von Musel Klossowski de Rolo III... but you can just call me Percy.
[ he offers a smile that very much says "we will beat their faces in if we have to" ... but make it polite and noble! ]
Perhaps we should have a peek and see one of these portals? Have a look around? Unless it's some sort of one-way business.

[Percy it is then!]
Yes, let's go see what the portals go to. I've seen people coming and going, so I don't think they're one-way.

I wish they hadn't taken my gun... who knows what's beyond this. A whole other plane?
no subject
I don't know if it's a plane, specifically. Wouldn't we be able to escape if it went there?
[He's talking airplanes.]
no subject
Hmm... I mean Planes are enormous. Would it truly be so easy?
[ i refuse to improve this situation. ]
What if we just end up finding another Plane that leads to another Plane and so on? We could be trapped for ages.
no subject
You make it sound like we're at an airport.
