WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

I need to return to my family, but until then, I'll do what I can. As we all will, I'm sure.
no subject
Right... I'm sure your family is worried about you too. [ he sounds sympathetic in earnest, at least. ] I can't imagine we'll be stuck here long, at least.
[ lol ]

My family..... [ There's a faint smile. A very enigmatic smile. A no comment kind of smile. ]
I hope that's the case. I want it to be the case.
[ But she's not made of optimism. ]

W—Well. There's no reason to believe otherwise, yet. [ he taps his chin in brief thought, looking more collected than before, marginally. ] There's nothing to be gained by keeping us in the dark forever. So... I'm sure whoever did this will make their intentions clear soon.
no subject
Would you like to make a guess about whether we'll like those intentions?
no subject
[ he really doubts he'll be happy to hear why they're here. it's possible that they were brought to help, but then he'd have expected to hear about it by now. ]
But I'd rather know than sit around and be tortured by our own guesses.

[ She agrees. ]
Your imagination must run wild.
no subject
[ but who wouldn't expect the worst here. ]
But I think that's a normal reaction, considering the abnormal circumstances.
no subject
Is that so? I try not to punish myself too much with my thoughts.
no subject
[ here's to hoping whatever awaits them won't be too terrible. lol ]
Anyway, in the meantime, maybe we should start investigating for ourselves.
