WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

Totally! So that means you must have committed the way out of here to memory, too, right? You're not lost, are you?
[ if he sounds a little hopeful it's
because he's lost too ]

[she's not sure she's committed the way out to memory, but she can make an attempt.]
I don't think I've been here long enough to be lost.
no subject
That's the spirit! [ says kazu, deffo lost. ] How long before that kicks in, do you think? Bet we can find our way out before then!

[she pulls her sleeve to cover her hand so it won't smudge the mirror and puts her hand on it.]
This should help. The reflections are a little disorienting and it seems as though they sometimes make it appear that there are pathways that are really just glass - this way we can avoid walking into any of them.
no subject
But I promise I wouldn't laugh even if you did walk into any of the mirrors.

[
at least she's honest about it?
anyway, onward!]

[ ?? ]
What made you pick this one first, though? There's a ton of other places you could have gone instead.

But it stopped once I got inside...
no subject
Too bad the place is abandoned, or we could totally have some fun around here, even without the natives.
no subject
It's strange. Sure, this place seems to be in an advanced state of disrepair, but if there was really no one here we wouldn't be hearing any voices at all, would we? So why won't they come out and speak with us?

[she
does not know what that is.]
