WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

... Would they abandon something like this, though? I'm not entirely familiar with technology like this, but I don't think that the people who made these creatures would leave them unsupervised.
[ A brief pause. ]
Or alive, for that matter. Don't they usually keep these a secret?

You’re implying they chose to. This place looks like a desolate hellhole, and it’s pretty clearly abandoned. We don’t know why though — they might’ve had to leave.
[ … ]
Not like we can trace them back to their owners. I haven’t seen any ominous paperwork with company names attached.

I guess the one sci-fi movie I watched left an impression… I’m only going off that as a reference. [ It’s stupid but listen??? Why the fuck else is it like this. ]
From what myself and a boy have come across everything is written in a foreign language.

Hm... I came across someone reading and he said none of the words made any sense, so I guess that adds up.

Finding anything about this place is like searching for a needle in a haystack…

[ … A piece of her wants to smack him upside the head. Marie ignores it. ]
I think with everyone trying so hard it does, actually. It would be even more motivational for me to know that you’re willing to do your best so we may find a way home, as well.

I’m already doing plenty of poking around. But I’m running up against the same walls as everyone else — nothing documented that we can understand, no instructions or indication why we’re here, and seemingly no exit.

[ A brief pause. ]
If you do come across anything, would you please let me know?

I thank you for your future cooperation, then.
