WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

[ hmm ]
Shape shifting's cool, I guess.

[ Hmm. ]
If time travel is a bore, then what of this place? Have you seen such a realm?
no subject
[ he shrugs... ]
Nah. Never been anywhere like this before.
no subject
[ Convenient! And conveniently cursed. ]
We were talking about social experiments earlier. How would you pose it to our circumstances? I'm curious to know.

[ But that's fine. ]
So far, this realm suits the horror genre narrative. If we follow that line of thought, we can expect worse anon.

[ ... ]
So what, do people just not like art and stories where you're from? [ IF THEY HAVE THE TECH TO MAKE PROJECTIONS? but only use them for information??? ]
no subject
Of course we do. I imagine all civilizations have a form of storytelling... Orated, painted, or scribed. What led you to such an assumption?
no subject
Or is it like... Hard to record stuff?
no subject
[ tldr; yeah. it is hard. ]
no subject
[ stop talking like aymeric's world is fictional! so rude... ]
no subject
How would you describe your star?
no subject
no subject
We would call it "star."
no subject
[ damien, assuming his science and terminology applies to other, magic worlds??? ]
no subject
[ Even if Damien is being OBTUSE Aymeric doesn't see it as such and isn't here to argue. ]
no subject
[ aymeric is being so patient. ]
... It's a normal world. There's no magic. And no - elezen or whatever. It's pretty boring, honestly.
no subject
Boring to you, but interesting enough to me. I only know of one race incapable of conjuring magic. They rely on their technology.
I imagine that's how your civilization prospered?
no subject
Can't imagine we do as well as worlds with magic, though.
no subject
Does your world leave you wanting?
no subject
... Yeah. Well. The grass is always greener, right?
