WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

he cringes slightly. ]
...If it's all the same to you, I'd rather not.
no subject
...Suit yourself. But when push comes to shove, you should fight to survive at all costs.
no subject
...I really hope that isn't necessary. [ why is violence such a normal means of conflict resolution here. he hasn't even considered if he could fight for his life like that. ] Though I guess given the atmosphere... being attacked isn't out of the question.
no subject
That's right. This isn't a place to relax in. One has to be vigilant.
no subject
R...Right.
[ okay lady ]
Will you be all right?
no subject
[??? She seems a bit surprised?]
Why are you asking?
no subject
Well... you don't look like you're heavily armed or anything yourself.
[ he'd be concerned for anyone out here, really. ]
no subject
[She says, with the air of someone who has definitely broken a few bones in her lifetime.]
no subject
Oh. That's... good? Sorry you've found yourself in so many scraps before.
[ that must be rough. he's probably gotten into like one fight in his entire life, if that. ]
At least we have the benefit of numbers here. [ they can look out for each other. maybe avoid some scuffles that way. ]
no subject
Don't be sorry. It's part of the job.
[What job.]
Mm. That we do. But considering the clowns...this place seems to have a lot more than us around.
no subject
Your job is to fight people?
no subject
I said part of it.
no subject
[ just curious. ]
no subject
I can't tell you.
no subject
Then can I ask why that is?
no subject
[Blunt!]
no subject
[ he's used to people shutting down his inquiries, at least. ]
...In any case. It's clear you're someone who's able to take care of yourself, miss...?

[welcome to her strange name!!]
