GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

I used to have to do it all the time. Just gotta get used to being stuck to it ... again, I guess. [ oh well. she shrugs ] It'll make finding the exit to this place take a lot longer.

It will, but I don't know that we will be stuck here that long. If it's someone else's magic doing it, then they have to go to sleep at some point, right?

Spells don't just turn off when people sleep. That'd be super weak.

Oh. [ the joke is she'd totally understand tiger transformation but it's fine ] That doesn't count, that's self-stuff. If it affects other people, it can totally still work if you're passed out.

Then we really do need to find that person to get them to stop. That's going to be troublesome.

Could be a witch. Whatever it is has left some major bad juju all abouts. [ looking critically at the sky ] Plus it's some powerful stuff if it can just take people's powers away without even showing itself.

So...taking people's powers away is what a witch can do?

[He's mentally imagining Dazai in a witch costume now, thanks.]

Weeell... It's never happened to me, but witches can do some powerful and messed up stuff. So maybe? [ SHE SHRUGS? it is an educated guess. ] Demons don't really take your powers. Just your souls.

[moonlightbeast]

Wait, what if a witch and a demon are working together to take our souls?

[Now he sounds a bit anxious. He likes his soul right where it is!]

Nah, demons don't really work with people. Plus there's no bananas anywhere.

[ she does not explain this. ]

If it is a witch, do you know what to do about that?

Gotta locate her first. Can't stop any spell without finding whoever did it first. Then... we beat the tar out of the witch. Bam, done.

This works even if it's not a witch actually.

I...guess talking probably won't help much, if they already went through the trouble to kidnap us.

[He will go along with the beatings, but he seems reluctant to do so.]

It's going to be harder if this witch has magic and we don't though. I don't know if I can even hurt someone without my ability.

You don't need abilities to punch people. Just sock 'em real good until they stop being jerks. Always worked for me.

Plus all wizards are kinda super weak to getting their butts kicked. Witches are tougher, but it's the same biz.
