WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

['sup. there's someone standing in front of the mansion, clothes looking ragged and worn out despite having just arrived. they're staring upwards, looking rather focused?
flap flap, goes their wings.
and nothing happens. they? flap their wings harder?]
... Hm. This is concerning.
ii. carnival.
[hi. if you're wandering around and don't give off vibes that you don't want to be disturbed, clarte will hold out... cotton candy!]
Are you hungry? Here. It's not very filling, and I suppose grey food is rather unappetizing, but it's better than nothing. The way it melts in your mouth is fascinating...
[anyway.]
Dehydration shouldn't be a concern right now, either. The water in the mansion should be drinkable... or at least nothing's happened to me yet?
i!
He... hello! You are... different! Like me! [ the wings at the side of her head wiggle almost just as excitedly, taloned feet shifting where she stands as if she's seconds away from zooming over to get a closer look. which she almost does but nearly trips. oops.
she's fine though! her words sounding out in a stuttery manner, even so she seems to be in a better mood. ] ..Friends? I'd like to be... friends!
no subject
Haha... yes, we do look similar, don't we? I'd be happy to be your friend.

Thank you. [ Inspecting it, he tilts his head. ] Lest we were to expire, it would do us well to be over-particular.
[ From a nibble, he wants to talk about how Clarte is right about it being fun to eat, but. Uh. ]
Yet. [ HELP. ] Was there no way to boil the water?

That's so careless of this person, he thinks. Extremely careless]
