WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

[but he'll just get another scream when he tries to open the door and he winces]
But I don't want to leave without trying!
no subject
If we had--uh, weapons, then it would be one thing, but like this it's...
no subject
Where'd they even take [a beat] our belongings?!
[he was gonna say 'us' before realizing that doesn't apply to all people here? certainly not this shinsengumi member?]
no subject
Right! And who?! [WHO DID THIS. WHO STOLE THEM AND ALSO COLORS]
no subject
[him angy now
stop taunting him with people he can't help]
no subject
Should we--[Do. Normal people say "scout"]--um, look around more? Maybe one of us can stay here, and the other can try to find [us] our things?
no subject
I'll scout ahead.
[yams was thoughtful about it but it's so ingrained in buzen's everything that he just kept saying it]
I'm pretty fast - you'll be alright?
no subject
Yes, I'll be fine. [he doesn't know he's nerfed] I'll try to warn other people who come by.
no subject
Alright - I'll be back as soon as I can!
[
it's not going to be that soon, he's not going to find any weapons]

no subject
he'll make it back eventually, even if it's hours(?) later. it's hard to tell time]
I'm afraid I have a more frustrating report than expected...
no subject
But Yasusada's still here, as promised! He's been dutifully guarding this whatever-it-is and keeping an eye on the poor souls that have wandered up, mostly.
He winces a little at those words, but, well. He can't say it's all that surprising...]
Nothing?
no subject
Nothing close, anyway. At some point when one ventures too far, fatigue hits - in a way that I'm definitely not used to. [as a human. definitely. not as a sword who isn't used to tiring at a normal rate]
Even then, I still feel like there's more out there... but I tried a few times, and no luck. So I thought I should at least provide a status update.
