WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

[ It's useful for the others, yeah, but not him. ]
I just want to know what the hell's going on.

[She's staring at him again, for a moment.]
Did anything strange happen to you before you came here?
no subject
Nothing that should have landed me here. At least... nothing that I remember.

[Hmmmmm.]
What do you think of the possibility this world may not be real?
no subject
Like a simulation? Well, it's a possibility, but then how'd you get here?

Okay, well, it's an... electronic device, to put it really simply. But if you don't know that much, then you probably meant something else when you said this world might not be real.
no subject
[hmmMMM]
Yes. I am aware of ways to make a world like that.

[ His mouth twists. ]
That doesn't really explain much, you know.
no subject
Really? And here I was thinking you had one, with your blindfold and all.
no subject
Huh? It's just a visor, it doesn't do anything special.

no subject
No, I'm—I already told you, I see the same way anyone else does. It's not that weird, all right?
no subject
...If you say so. [...] Do others have these "visors" where you come from?
no subject
Yeah. It's a standard part of our uniform.

[you look like a twink, sir]
I see. Must be different in your world...do you fight for your country?
