WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

Yeah. Everyone was there to practice... Hyoudou-san's son, Kiyoharu-san, um, Mako-san, Gaju-san, Shizuku-san. Tatara and I... [anyway,]
It was to help us practice together, but all we did was argue.
no subject
[she can't imagine a civilian being sent to a training area specifically for dancing, at least.]
no subject
No...bility? I'm just a normal girl.
no subject
But you had someone teaching you to dance? Was your father a high ranking merchant?
no subject
MERCHANT? What is she, in the Edo period? Her eyes roll, but not at Vin; it seems to be directed at the idea of her dad.]
My dad is just a middle-aged man with four kids. He's really embarrassing. We were practicing together at a studio with Sengoku-san, but then we went to Hyoudou-san's studio to learn.

I see. [and then, abruptly changing the subject:] You do not recognize this place?
no subject
She glances around them, frowning in scrutiny.]
I don’t. It’s… like a weird lab from a movie set. The only place that looks familiar is the shrine, but… it’s spooky and abandoned, and something was making noise inside.
no subject
[movies... mysterious. the next part gives her pause, though.]
What kind of noises?
no subject
[She glances down and sort of wrings her hands.]
There’s a door in the shrine that looks locked. Something is banging to get out on the other side.
no subject
[hm. she doesn't like that.]
Hopefully it stays shut.
no subject
[Then again, there sure are a lot of BIG SOMEONES here too.]
This is all really weird. I’m dreaming, right? You’re all… like in my dream.
no subject
[BLUNT... vin be more gentle]
But it is strange. I don't know how I came to be here, either.
[her question... finally...]
no subject
Somehow, she doesn’t seem to mind the bluntness.]
You weren’t asleep, were you…?
no subject
I was awake before I came here.
no subject
Great. [She is just a normal...help.] I don't see anyone else I know anywhere.
no subject
[which is even stranger to her than waking up in an unfamiliar place.]
no subject
Oh. [:(] Were you with them?
no subject
It is... surprising they aren't here.
no subject
We'll... get back? Or, um, wake up.
[Listen, she isn't great at the expression of feels, it's fine. She quickly turns around and puts her arms behind her back like she's looking! at the room!]
Maybe we can find a clue.
no subject
We will.
[as for a clue...]
I don't recognize anything about this place.
[what's a lab]
