WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

But no, he's still gruffly walking away, though sparing Crow a sideglance. Gods... another one following him, there's something about him just trying to mind his business and people coming after him (COUGH COUGH TATARU TARU AND KRILE BALDESION OF THE SCIONS COUGH). ]
'Tis nothing you should concern yourself with.
[ Which is the XIVspeak for Fuck Off, let's be real. ]

I think there are a lot of things I should concern myself with. If your, uh... [ what the fuck is a nidhogg anyway ] missing... friend... isn't one of them, maybe you know something about where the hell we are? That'd be a great coincidence, if you did.
[ no one speaks ffxiv speak except for the ffxivs so get wrecked estinien. ]

Why would I know that? If I knew such a thing then perhaps I wouldn't be separated.
[ He doesn't specify from what, but lets Crow believe it's a missing friend. It's probably easier that way. ]

[ he shrugs. ]
Doesn’t mean you haven’t got some experiences to draw on about this place or something similar, annnd if I don’t ask, I won’t know.

He makes a dissenting grunt, though. While Crow's logic isn't wrong, at least as far as he figures, he doesn't care to outright go along with it. ]
Which is another way to say you don't know much of anything, either.

[ a shrug. ]
I never claimed otherwise.

[ also it’s funny. mostly that. ]

[ What's an extra enemy or two gonna do, KILL ME. It won't happen outside of a dramatic cutscene. I unfortunately have plot armour now.
Does he see logic? Reluctantly yes. Does he want to agree still? No.
A quiet stare... ]

Do you have a weapon about you?
