WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

Right? Right? I mean, tons of stuff around here has been weird, but a fire that isn't hot? [...] Speaking of, how fast do h-- people end up hypothermic anyway? D'you know? It's gonna be a real problem if we can't find stuff to build fires and we're stuck here for a while with stuff like this.

A lack of exposure to wind makes it easier to survive hypothermia. Supposing you stay indoors and the temperature doesn't drop further you probably will be fine for...around half an hour more.
[After giving such a grim prognosis, he adds, because what he said is pretty much the absolute worst case scenario:]
But being in good health will slow the onset of hypothermia. As long as you take care of yourself you could survive for days or weeks despite the cold. Avoid submerging yourself in water, that will make your situation worse.

[Maybe humans aren't the fragile twinks he thinks they all are??? Wild.]
That's way longer than I thought. But that's good news, then. People are already gonna be worrying about food and water, so not having to immediately worry about freezing to death is better than nothing, I guess.
[A little sigh... But!!]
--Anyway, the fire's still super freaky and you definitely don't wanna touch it. [Unlike a certain one-braincelled lad who DID EARLIER.] But I guess it's probably best to avoid touching a ton of stuff here, with how gross and weird everything is.

[It's the absolute best case scenario, really. Honestly everyone should be glad the hypothermia is not a serious danger because we all have to be alive and kicking for the murders, haha]
Doesn't it feel like everything is going out of its way to act differently to how it should? Nothing is normal around here at all. Strange!

He just nods along in agreement, though. Strange in the bad way! Bad strange!! Tiring strange!!]
Yeah, weird as hell. I mean, I'm not exactly not used to dealing with weird stuff, you know? But this place is kinda next level.
[Next level weird...]
--Oh, yeah. My name's Kashuu, by the way! Who're you?

[November immediately goes for familiarity, it seems. Respectful but not following protocols, apparently]
I myself have some experience with oddities, but this is a new one. Regardless, sometimes life is better when you have something new and interesting every once in a while, don't you think?
[He said that so nonchalantly it'd be easy to think he actually believes it! But no, internally November is pretty alarmed and working as hard as possible to gain information to decide his course of action. He just isn't letting his unease show up to the surface, yup]
