Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

The moment supplies run short or there's not enough food for everyone any kind of social experiment will turn dangerous, though. Hopefully it won't get to that!

... I think we're starting off on that foot. You seen much food around here?

I have witnessed a couple people eating food from that eerie carnival. In general it seems to be lacking in quality, leaving aside it's all carnival food instead of something good. All of us will come out of this with a severe case of scurvy, I imagine.

[Carnival food isn't known for being nutritious, it probably is lacking in vitamin C or something]

The quantity is fine, the quality is the issue there.

[He isn't optimistic or pessimistic, really. November is just pretty sure trying to keep others' minds off the worst case scenarios probably will keep any situation somewhat stable. The less trouble there's around, the easier it will be to solve the issue of being here in the first place.

It doesn't seem to be working on Damien, so he kind of gives up on that, haha]

More than you'd think. Facing reality and its bad things head-on is important for survival. Positive thinking means nothing if all it does is drive you closer to a pointless death.

[Pretty nihilistic thing November said, all things considered, but Contractors generally aren't known for being positive. After all, the things they do and see are always bloody and violent]
