WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

No promises. I don't do well with spooky places. Or being kidnapped.
[ You know how it goes. ]
Probably? [ Sidling closer as he lowers his voice. ] Don't jinx it, dude. Something is going to crawl out of a well or pop out of the bushes to get us.

Tell me about it.
[The spooky places? The kidnapping?? He seems far too cavalier about either, honestly. Anyway, he leans over a little as the volume drops, FROWNING... Glancing back to the door...]
—I think the thing behind the door's the biggest issue we've got on our hands, at least. We could probably take on anything smaller, yeah?
[WE.]

The door's the biggest issue? Wh-why is that? Do you think that's a daemon or a monster behind it?
[ Wait. ] Whoa! What do you mean by we? I'm a photog, not a fighter.

[Sometimes you're used to being dispatched in TEAMS ONLY but it's fine, he's totally ready to take on a door demon by himself. HE FLAPS A HAND DISMISSIVELY.]
Don't worry about it, I can totally cover you if things get dicey. But yeah, that's why - whatever's behind the door is probably pretty big to be making all that noise, right?
no subject
Oh. ]
Were you with a group before coming here?
[ Looking him over to check for a weapon. Is the skirt a weeapon? Hewwo? ]
Do you have anything to defend yourself with?
