WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

...you keep walking. There's lots to see, yeah? And maybe your 'Hermes' is around here somewhere - it's worth looking.
What's your name?
no subject
Mm! He's probably lost! I'll just.. have to find him. [ does this Hermes get lost often? maybe, from the way she says it. ]
I was named Meteion. And you are?
no subject
[ that gets a reassuring smile back, too. his soft spot. ] You can call me Vax.
What's your friend look like? Maybe I can help you find him, yeah?
no subject
[ Said with the confidence of one that seems to be used to saying long or unique names. Though, she goes :O at Vax. ] Really? Is that.. okay?
[ As for her 'friend', she waves her hands. ] Hermes is my creator! He is very tall, [ she stands on her birdie tippy-toes with a hand extended way high up. ] much much taller than me! And he should be wearing his black robes with his white mask.
[ Which, thinking about it, she tilts her head at Vax. ] Do you not have a mask?
no subject
[ most of the time. but, ah! okay. very tall, wearing black robes and a white mask. sounds like the kind of person who would fit in here? vax'ildan puts his hand over his eyes like he's making a visor to see better, squinting off into the distance. ]
Sounds like an easy to find kind of guy. [ creator is a phrase but hes not gonna worry about it. as for the mask bit... he tilts his head right back. two birds. ] And - no. I don't need one.
[ he reaches back for his hood and pulls it up, though - like he could hide his face like that. face gone. it's a little silly and definitely silly on purpose. ] See?
