Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

Unexpected, wasn't it? It seems when you cross this, you appear somewhere else. Just be glad you won't die if you cross this.

[That he himself was caught unaware is unbecoming of him and he knows it. Oh well. Not the first time he makes a mistake, and won't be the last]

[ He's heard of them but he's never seen them in real life before. ]

[It's raining in this carnival! No doubt this is far away from that dead tree area! November steps into the rain, relieved -- the more water around him, the better]

It seems like some sort of...amusement park? How strange. And still no hint of color to be seen.

It's only raining here? But it was dry over there?

Are these places really that far away from each other?

I suppose so. Some distance away, yet nothing changes other than the rain.

[He smirks and points away, at one of the rides]

There's also blood. It's as if the more we walk around the more unnerving everything gets.

[He's not unnerved in the slightest, though, haha]

Blood?!

[He's unnerved and his face shows it immediately. BLOOD?!?]

Indeed. Terrifying, isn't it?

[Doesn't take long for children's laughter to happen. November barely keeps a straight face, holding back a chuckle]

Now they're overdoing it. It's as if everything is trying to frighten us.

Eh? But this whole place is so empty? Are there actually kids here?

[November listens, hoping for a response.

Are you good with kids, Kumon?

[It'd be great to leave the interaction with kids to someone else!]

I'm alright. Hmm... I think Omi's better with them, but he's really good with everybody. Too bad he's not here.

Even if you're just alright you're better than I am. Don't knock yourself down.

[The only kid he's in contact with is his teammate July, and he's not a normal kid]

Eh? But you're doing okay with me?

[November seems surprised. For some reason he didn't see Kumon as a kid or given it any thought at all. He stops for a moment, a little surprised]

...you're not wrong, I guess.

[Okay maybe he's not bad with kids, he guesses. There's just a lot he never considers until someone else brings it up and points it out. This is one of these things, he guesses]
