Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

Oh yeah. Those are pretty rad. It's better when they flash automatically though. Then you can just rave the night away.

I've done that! But we call them idol performances... not a rave.

We should do both - and then see how they're different!

Sometimes! Someone I know is really into singing and dancing - so he was really excited when we got a chance to perform for real.

It's a lot more fun than I expected! Really easy to get pumped up!

That's cool. I sing too. Not a lot of dancing while I play, but maybe we could do a jam session sometime if we find some equipment.

Hahaha, how about you sing and I do some dance and drums around you? That sounds really fun - it'd definitely liven this place up a bit!

A corpse could liven this place up. [ is that funny. no. ] But sounds like a plan. Maybe I'll find my bass and we can make up a whole song and everything.

Definitely. It'd be nice to get some music going... Everything here is mostly just screams and crying.

There's creepy laughter and whispers too. [ helpful. ] But it's kind of not the most welcoming place I've ever been to. Everything's broken beyond repair on top of all that.

Right? And it's mysteriously cold, and nothing tastes good...

But you're the real thing? Amazing! What do vampires do?

I don't know what "Halloween" is, but sure. Anyway, vampires drink blood and kill people mostly, but I stick to the color red.
