WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

True, true. It's not like we really know what this place is gonna throw at us...
[A GLANCE TOWARD THE DOOR which has been suspiciously silent for a little while. Their rude friend will return soon enough though, no worries.]
—Oh, right! I'm Kashuu. [He actually remembers to only use one name this time, even! Just in case someone here were to be a history buff and notice he shares a name with Famed Shinsengumi Swordsman Okita Souji('s sword).
ANYWAY, somewhat teasingly:] I guess that'd make you Naruhodo-senpai then, huh?
[It's teasing because his rude ass uses no honorifics for anyone ever, including the 1k+ year old swords in his citadel.]
no subject
he laughs a little awkwardly at senpai, but it's not bad? compared to what he's usually called? ]
Ah, I'm not too worried about formalities, Kashuu-kun.
[ famous sword who? this is cashew-kun now. ]
Though I don't suppose you'd like to help me open this door? I tried earlier, but... it's bolted down tight.
no subject
Oh, good - I'm not really great at sticking with 'em, either. [He'll keep using Naruhodo-senpai just because he thinks it's cute, though.
BUT ANYWAY--] Eh? You really wanna try opening it? I'm kinda surprised... You wanna risk letting whatever's in there back out?
no subject
I—N-Not really. [ HE'S AFRAID. GHOSTS....... ] But we ought to get a look to make sure it's not someone who's stuck in there, right—?
[ maybe not enough to blast the whole door open, but like—just to make sure? he'd feel bad otherwise. ]
no subject
[Can't believe he's saying this so calmly and sensibly and then he's going to be promptly goo'd by Pride Sadako.]
no subject
Unless they're in so much distress they can't answer properly...
[ but it's better than nothing. observing the door, he's pretty sure there's no way they're going to get through it anyway. he runs his fingers over the bolts with a frown. ]
It's worth a try. [ he takes in a deep breath, and— ] HELLO? [ he's really loud, actually ] Is anyone there—!?
no subject
If you can hear us, knock twice and then once, o-kay?
[Which predictably does not happen because this door is clearly HAUNTED BY A TOP CLASS DEMON.]
no subject
Uuuugh.
[ the door continues to just be creepy and not offer them any new information, unfortunately. ]
We still ought to keep an eye on it, but... hopefully it's not urgent.
no subject
Mmm... Well, we can just come back and check it later. If anything's there that's seriously trying to get out and it's not some kinda demon or ghost, maybe there'll be more signs...?
