Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

[Also that's a temple and unleashing something sealed inside probably is a bad thing, he guesses!]

What if what's in there held the answers for why we're here?

Wouldn't it be more likely it's someone who came with us and got themselves locked somehow?

Certainly not.

[He shrugs. Ah, darn, he got himself into a conundrum thanks to societal conventions such as 'you should help others you asshole'. Oh well. Beginning to walk in that direction, he says:]

But I very much doubt it will hold answers of any sort. Keep your expectations low.

And of course, anyone decent would come along and help as well, no?

I'm not expecting to find any way to open it, but let's see what can be found.

I don't know if I'd say it's always a matter of decency, but it doesn't hurt to be decent.

I suppose I agree. For me it's just that I don't have much of a chance to do the right thing like this.

[Usually he's in a mission all the time. It means he can't go around helping anyone he encounters unless it's related to his job. November has to focus exclusively on what he's doing]

The mundane explanation is that they have a way of looking outside.

[He doesn't say it, but the other explanation is that this is a ghost and they're currently dealing with something supernatural and this is a bad idea. Or something! Hah, truthfully he doesn't believe that at all in spirits and ghosts, no matter what he says]
