WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

I can't say that I am.

Well...hm. Tell me where you're from. Let's see how different things are.

[she watches hot pants to see if there's any sort of recognition there.]

Where I was, I was in a place called America. That ring a bell?
no subject
Not in the slightest.

Apparently, there's such a thing as "neighboring worlds". Where the same world exists as copies, but things may be slightly different, or completely different between them. They also don't exist on the same plane. If I went back to where I come from, even if I looked all over the world, I wouldn't meet the you as you are now. Maybe a version of you, but not "you". Do you understand?

[hmm. well.]
That sounds like something out of a story, so it's a little difficult to simply accept it, but your explanation is understandable.

[And a gesture to the mirrors.]
Which is why I assume you're here to learn as much as you can.

[She lets out an almost amused noise?]
Well. Better me than anything else.

I have to say I agree.
[hot pants didn't attack her on sight, so like, she'll take it!]

[her smile is cute - me thinking this, not hot pants]
Need to find your way out? It's a bit of a maze, here.
