WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

Fuck no, are you kidding? It's never that easy. [ LITERALLY NEVER he doesn't seem that bothered, just a little dramatic. ] Sure we're in for a whole heaping pile of bullshit to come before that happens.
no subject
Probably. [...] What kind of magic were you talking about?
no subject
For the land?
[ ... mmm. a little quieter. ]
...Druid stuff. I know someone who would've been able to. Who's done it - we still had to take out the big baddies before it took fully, but it worked. Brought back a place that'd been drained by a vampire and a sorceress who were fucked up beyond all belief.
no subject
They sound formidable.

[ gross he looks disgustingly fond for a second
anyway ] ...She's not here, though, so, we're gonna have to find another solution, I guess. Tend to be more of a stabber than a grower, but we'll figure something out.
no subject
[she, too, wishes to stab if an acceptable target shows up.]
There's food, at least.
no subject
[ ... ]
Could be worse.
[ terrible what is your definition of worse. this feels like old times kind of ]
no subject
It could be. [goth club? your standards?] I haven't seen any ash.
no subject
Ash like fire?
no subject
Yes. You know, from the sky?
[what]
no subject
[ HELLO? ]
no subject
[she repeats, as if that will help??]
I didn't smell smoke, either.
no subject
What, did you live in Emon a few years back when Thordak came through?
[ this is also completely unhelpful ]
no subject
[incredible]
no subject
[ this is terrible actually ]
Ash just - what, falls from the sky, then? That normal where you're from? Not related to a dragon or a fire giant or gods knows whatever else?
no subject
[there is, but it's common enough to her that it's like questioning the color of the sky or the principles of gravity.]
What's a dragon?
