Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

...What are you? The closest thing to a winged race I've seen is the Ixal and it's not even on their backs. Adding that they look more birdman than hyur.

The race has only ever been called the winged people. Not very creative, but simple enough.

I'm not familiar with the Ixal or hyur, though.

[ Of course you're not... another alien civilisation or whatnot, all he's heard being on the moon are the Loporrits and one giant shade of a man and also the Embodiment of Darkness, Grand Opposition to their world's central goddess, but why not a mysterious winged race of angelic people? Why not.

Well, I've been to one planet other than the moon, but I'm really only familiar with the Zerberiya continent. I wouldn't know much about anywhere else.

I'm afraid not. I only know of the Zerberiya continent to the west and the central continent of Miglance.

...Being fairly well-traveled than most of my peers, all these names are still very foreign to me.

Guide? If I am, I certainly don't know it.

So it seems. It's too bad neither of us has answers... but being lost together isn't so bad either, at least.

Well, it'd be nice if someone knew something... but at least it can offer a sense of camaraderie?

[ Sorry he doesn't speak Doman. At least, not much. He worked there for a bit but they were gracious enough to speak Eorzean with him or whatever the lingo would be considered in XIV terms. ]

From what I understand, it's some sort of situation where you're transported to another world so that you can save it. Kumon was quite the expert on it, here.
