WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

You!
[ The world is lucky he doesn't have his lance -- because gods know, he immediately reached for it to only find empty air, and he scowls instead. ]
What have you done?

There's alarm at the look, the frustration, the anger she can see, she's confused- she doesn't understand. She grips at her monochrome clothes, shaking her head with a step back. ]
M.. Me? I.. I haven't-- [ Oh, the voices before-- no, no one should know? ] I haven't done.. anything.. I just woke up. Here. Like this.

buzen will pause when she speaks, listening closely, before tilting his head and offering a smile. he'll lower himself a little so they're eye level]
Do you hear my voice? I hear yours.
We don't have to stay here if you don't like it.
no subject
After a moment, she nods. ] ...Mm! I hear you...
[ It is a good feeling. Calmer. Less scary. ] Is this... normal? [ the carnival, she looks back to. ] Where I'm from is so... colorful, bright. It is.. not here.

... It is, isn't it?
[ cold, lonely. there's a rustle of fabric, and after a moment - a man hops gracefully down from the carousel and approaches, pulling his gray hood off of his head. his voice is low, but gentle. ]
... 's alright, though. Maybe a little less lonely than you thought. [ see you have company now ]
no subject
..Yes. There are... people here. You're here... too! [ This does put her a little at ease. But the carnival still sounds so empty. So colorless. ] But... Hermes isn't.. He'll worry. What do.. I do?

[ He's used to the cold, but now he's like 6u9. My anime old bones are getting chilled. ]
If aught were to warm you, it may be found in the manor past another archway. Would you like an escort? Or mayhap this place interests you?
[ He. Looks to the dark carnival. Uh. ]
no subject
[ Some familiarity! But this is f*cked up cold. Much colder than that. The kind of cold that brings you Depression. ]
It isn't something... I've seen before. [ It's uh... something! but she's still curious? Could explore but she does like the sound of somewhere warm so she nods. ] Will you walk me back?

she also activates chang geng's baby senses, and she's half his size - so he does her the courtesy of taking a knee when he comes across her, so that they might speak eye to eye with one another. ]
What voices are those? It's not so lonely as it seems - perhaps you can find them again.
no subject
My.. sisters. They were trying to pass on their report but... I ran. Then I woke up. Here. Where is here? Do you know? [ Oh, but he's right about that at least, it's not so lonely. She is a little at ease at those words. ]

Yeah, it's a pretty gross place, huh? Dirty and ugly, too. [HUFFS. But he'll save his diva complaints for another day.]
Um - whose voices, though? Are you, like, missing someone that you should be with? I can help you look for 'em, if you want.
no subject
Dirty.. and ugly? [ It's also raining in there. So it's kinda hard to tell if it's actually dirty. She tilts her head, as if not having considered that description of the abandoned carnival before. ]
I was... supposed to be with Hermes. [ Her wings do perk at that offer. ] Really? You would? Is that.. okay?
[ Oh-- ] what about.. you? Are you missing someone too?

Youkai????]
What voices?
no subject
My sisters. They were talking to me. Before. Not anymore, not since I woke up here.
[ Though, she looks a little curious at him. whomst? ]
Though... I did hear something. From this place. [ the distant... sound of children giggling... may or may not be heard here. ]

It's a tad ominous, isn't it... ? [ She hates it here. Has she made it obvious enough that she hates it here? Too many jumpscares. ] Are you looking for someone? You mentioned their voices, so I'm just assuming.
no subject
Oh, I was listening to my sisters but... I won't be able to find them. Not on this star, I don't think. It's too quiet. [ She looks back at the carnival where spooky children giggling can be heard? ]

It is.. less lonely. [ a small smile, eyes curious as she looks back at her. ] Who are you?

The cold is a bitch, but it's not that... Lonely.
Kind of a ton of people around, really.
no subject
...Mm. It's a bit hard to be lonely with so many. It's also nice having company, it makes it warm. [ Hmm, warm. She taps her chin. ] I think... I saw a home somewhere nearby. Maybe there are blankets?

Are you looking for someone, too?
