Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

Preserving the specimens here first, mayhap, but they may well prove of no use.

Mmmm... Sounds expensive. [ frooch would never approve. ] You really think there's no way of even fixing the place up a little?

It is hardly fit to serve its purpose, as it is. It may be redone to serve a new one, I suppose...

Strip it down to the bare bones, salvage those, and everything else can be redone from the ground up, yeah? Totally doable!

...At least it would be if we had some supplies, but I haven't been able to find any yet.

No, this place is thoroughly lacking-- and has evidently denied us the ability to do aught else about it. 'Tis not merely this facility that could use some work.

I know, right? It's like a storm went through and demolished everything! Totally crazy!

Makes you wonder who would just leave it all like this, doesn't it?

Or who might create such a thing purposefully, though it seems ridiculous that one might want to.

I mean, if it's for a set like a haunted house, that's one thing. This place definitely has a vibe, you know? Perfect for dramatic action scenes or creepy monsters to pop out!

...But we'd still have color for that, I think?
