chroma | WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE

GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to

chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

Can you stand up? Sorry for not offering a hand -- I'm currently battling a bad case of arthritis.

[That's a complete lie, but hey, November judges that with this one an elaborate lie as for why he doesn't offer help to stand up won't be necessary. Something half-assed will do. What matters here is to not make contact with people who may be dangerous, he thinks. If Kumon catches onto that it's a lie November can just play it off as a bad joke, successfully hiding he has his guard up. That's his reasoning, yup]

That's exactly right. And also, call me paranoid if you'd like but being in the place I was tossed after being brought here makes me a little uneasy.

[Well, that and also if things get messy and violent here, the number of people around will make things more difficult than he'd like. At least if he's with only one other person he'll handle things better, especially if Kumon all of a sudden tries to stab him in the back]

[He had stepped a little closer to the arch itself, intending to check it closely, but as soon as he's there he disappears. Oh, he's gone! Crossed into the carnival area, yup]

Unexpected, wasn't it? It seems when you cross this, you appear somewhere else. Just be glad you won't die if you cross this.
