MINGLE

A bittersweet victory, isn't it? You solved everything this past weekend. No mysteries were left unsolved, and now things seem to have settled down. Of course, there's surely plenty on your mind by now. As always though, time marches on. You must keep moving ever onward.

At the far end of the park in the central node, you'll hear the faint sound of rumbling as something new appears. The Prism is opening itself to you all, showing you what it's capable of, and providing you with space to explore.

For those of you feeling particularly daring, you are free to explore a bit further on your own. But even before you leave the apartments, perhaps you'd like to pay a visit to the gumball machine in the lobby.

Strange. Some of you may have gained or lost a color since this time last week, but it's not like many of you will ever tell. In fact, many of you are very, very bad at sharing. Many of you continually suppress your own emotions whether for the sake of others, or in order to go unnoticed. It's hard to say what your motivations are sometimes. This week, however, the suppression... isn't exactly for the best. You may feel a strange twinge in your chest, a slightly uncomfortable tickle in your throat, and then before you can stop it, you find yourself coughing up a handful of flowers. All different shades, all representing your hidden feelings, this disease takes its hold and infects everyone in the Prism. Too bad the timing isn't always the most convenient either.

Finally, as always, you may contact the residents at any time. They may even have something new for you to do.

► This week's effect is hanahaki! Yup. For all suppressed emotions characters may be feeling, after some time they'll find themselves coughing up flowers in different colors representing those feelings.
► The flowers can be any type you want for the aesthetic. It can be one or two flowers, or it can be a lot of them. Whichever way you wish to play it is fine.

a. we begin.

[ i also really only need one prompt, and it's the fucking MOON. but i'm splitting it up anyway, because it's the MOON and danny has a lot of ground to cover.

As soon as Danny enters the door into the base, he realizes what this is and immediately just says: ]

Oh my god.

[ then a pause, then, sprinting back into the rest of the prism, frantically muttering the whole way: ]

Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod--

b. exploring

[ Danny is just wandering around the moon with a look of awe and wonder on his face. As he goes, he periodically barfs up a few vibrant butterfly orchids, leaving behind a recognizable trail. Should he be worried about the barfing? Maybe.

But more important is OBSERVING THE BEAUTY OF THE MOON. ]

This is incredible!! I've always dreamed of this.

[ he snaps photos of the Earth from here. or, whatever planet it is. close enough. He also: leans down to drag a finger through the dirt, then pops it into his mouth. ]

c. SHREDDING

[ Later, you might find Danny at a moon crater with a skateboard! ]

This is gonna be. So. Sick.

[ he clearly has no idea how to ride a skateboard, but he does it anyway, into the crater. It's a lot easier to keep his balance on than at the skate park last week, and he gets THE SICKEST AIR.

This is him whooping for joy as he sails up in the air...and then laughing as he gently crashes down because no fucking way does this boy know how to land on a skateboard. ]

I bet the astronauts wish they could do this!!

[Are you telling me he ate space dirt where anybody could see him?]

It's really amazing, right!? What did it taste like?

anyway for this tag i had to google "what does moon dust taste like" and the answer was "like gunpowder." So then i had to google "what does gunpowder taste like" and fell into a really weird rabbit hole of gunpowder as food seasoning

anyway, danny scrunches up his nose ]

Burnt and bitter, mostly. But also...kinda metallic?

Huh... I didn't think dust had that much taste normally. Guess it's cause it's not just normal dust!

... Maybe don't eat more of it.

Oh trust me, I wasn't planning to. Even if it tasted good. I just had to know, you know? Tasting moon dust is like a once in a lifetime thing!

[ i'm gonna say there's a skateboard nearby that Danny brought over earlier so he's gonna grab that with his free hand. ]

Alright! You wanna give it a shot? It's way easier to skate in lower gravity. And it hurts less when you fall.

[Might as well take advantage of low gravity and learn how to sk8.]

[ in a great parallel to our other ongoing thread in this mingle, Danny will happily lead Kumon by the hand to the nearest crater!!

It really does look just like one of those crater areas in the skate park. ]

Here we are! [ Danny gestures to it proudly as if he had anything to do with this. ] You wanna give it a shot? [ offers up the skateboard ]

Yeah! Tried a bunch of the craters out already?

[He will take the skateboard and manage to do a great job just being on it (17). No attempted tricks just yet.]

Just around here. I mean, there's a whole moon's worth of craters, and I can't get to them all!
