WEEKEND ZERO: OVERFLOW
WOW

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

This cold is one problem, and dehydration is another. I'd like to find some solution for both of them today. [her stomach growls] ...there are plenty of other problems as well, but those are the two most pressing concerns that I think we'd have the most success in resolving right away.

[He shrugs]
You know, physical activity is a good way of warming up. If you haven't tried that it could be worth a try.

[i'm waiting for the mods to tell us we've all gotten food poisoning tbh]
You're not wrong. I didn't notice much of a difference yesterday, but I did spend quite some time investigating that... amusement park...? And it was raining there, so I imagine that would have cancelled out any of the warmth I got from moving around.

If you don't mind visiting a creepy location there's an abandoned laboratory as well. It's worth exploring thoroughly.
[Feeling like spelunking in that place? There won't be any monsters with eye beams or color-removing acids...for now!]
no subject
[not that jiuqing is very familiar with the type of technology in the lab, but you never know.]
Shall we?
no subject
[Having been the one to suggest the location, he takes the lead, walking ahead. There's something he should remark, though!]
Before we go, I should warn you you will see a number of quite interesting creatures, most likely created in that laboratory. None of them are, shall we say, pleasing to the eye.
no subject
[she's fine! it'll probably freak her out a little if they're out and roaming, but. that is a problem for them in the future.]
no subject
Science can be quite gruesome sometimes, so if at any point you wish to leave that's fine.
[At least November isn't imposing his own standards onto others...except when it's about fighting.
Arriving to the laboratory doesn't take long. It's as colorless and eerie as everything else, and it doesn't help that upon arrival there's not only the stuff in the tubes, there's also whispers and movement from the corner of their eyes]
Please watch our backs, if you don't mind.
no subject
[she'll keep a careful eye out! for now, things seem to be okay, but it's pretty early in this thread, so who knows if that will change.]
no subject
THe sight of all those tubes, though...]
Are you experienced with computers?
[Superspy here doesn't have skill with technology, he's more of a field agent]
no subject
[she does not even know what a computer is.]
no subject
[He'd just gather information, submit a report, and let someone else handle it. Perhaps someone in this group of ragtag kidnapees knows about this technology and he can give them the information and wash his hands off this!
But clearly Jiuqing isn't that person]
no subject
Well, not knowing how it works shouldn't stop us from learning it. All we need to do is find a teacher.
no subject
[Bubblegum is the one they need. Teach us the secrets of science, Bubblegum!]
no subject
[they'll get profiles soon and they'll all be listed right there but she doesn't know that yet]
no subject
[Not the time for your usual brand of joking, November. Doesn't help that once his profile comes up, all his jokes and stuff will seem pretty plausible, haha]
no subject
[she's clearly joking.]
no subject
Your lack of faith in my capabilities wounds me deeply.
[It's so rare for someone to bounce off something he said. Most of the time all he gets is an alarmed stare and little more, so that someone is willing to reply to that like this is a refreshing change. He likes it!]
no subject
My apologies! Perhaps you'll prove me wrong?
no subject
[November observes one of the creatures suspended in a tube. It's such a gross thing, yet he stares at it as if it was a fish in an aquarium]
What are your strong points, Su? Is there anything about that you would like to share?
no subject
Well, I'm a doctor. So if someone comes down with an illness or gets hurt, I should be able to assist at least a little, even if we don't really have the sorts of supplies we need just yet.
no subject
I'd almost dare say any illness happening here will be unlike anything you may have seen ever before.
[It probably will involve color one way or another, he bets]
