WEEKEND ZERO: OVERFLOW

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

You haven't found anyone either? [Well, at least he knows it's not just a fluke on his part, then.] I tried to ask a few people, but nobody knows what happened.

I haven't. It's a bit strange, to say the least.

[she frowns slightly]

Though this place does seem abandoned, so from the state of it it isn't terribly surprising we can't find anyone... unsettling, though.

It does, but... someone [or something, but, uh, let's not get into that] had to bring us here, right? Ending up here--it's not something that should've happened normally.

[Maybe he'd be less weirded out by it if he'd been on the way to or from a mission, but he just got yoinked straight from the citadel...]

No, it isn't. Our ending up here couldn't be a coincidence... but then, that makes it strange that this place seems so abandoned.

[aitou]

[Yasusada looks like he's thinking very deeply about something--but whatever it is, he doesn't explain. After a minute, he just shakes his head lightly.]

They're probably just hiding or something. Maybe they're trying to see if we can figure out where they are.

Tests have their time and place, but if that is the case, this is an aggravating one.

It might be an enemy, but I think they would've just attacked us right away, if it was.

[If who-or-whatever it is intended to harm them, surely it would've just done so before they all woke up?? Though he guesses this could be some weird form of torture...]

I'd think that, too.

I can't even begin to fathom what they must be thinking, but I'm not sure I want to be able to.

Right...

[Ughhhh.

He's quiet for a moment as he stares at the creepy temple door.]

If I had my sword, it would be safer to try and open it, but without it I don't really know what to do.

I'd be less concerned if I had my medical supplies, but...

[her STUFF. it's GONE.]

Perhaps for now we ought to try and investigate the surrounding area for some clue as to what may be behind the door.
