WEEKEND ZERO: OVERFLOW

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

I can't find my sword. [It'd be fine if he had himself, but separated like this, he's gotta be way more cautious...]

At first I thought someone must have taken it from me, but... Others have been saying the same thing. That they're missing things.

[Yeah... it's bad. It's really bad!!!!]

Normally I would be able to find it right away, no matter what [because it's literally him] but I can't...

[what he can't do is explain this to a human, actually, so he will just trail off!! It's fine.]

It's more like... [Hmmmm. What would Okita say...] ...a good swordsman always takes care of his swords, right? So it's normal to always know where they are. It would be stranger if I lost track of it.

Some people have mentioned that maybe someone brought us here... That person could have taken it, if that's true.

[He nods; he's heard that theory too.]

They'll have to come out eventually, right? It wouldn't make sense to bring us here and then leave us.

Someone mentioned something about a performance, and coats... [that's not what happened]

I thought maybe he was talking about dancing, but then he mentioned a test? So I don't really know what he meant.

What does that have to do with coats?

I do not see what a coat has to do with either.

Oh--well, you have to wear special clothes when you dance. [He says this like it's a fact] So sometimes you get new coats. But I don't know about test coats.

Oh... You mean a waistcoat?

[she's assuming when he says dance he means, like, a ball.]

[He doesn't pay that much attention to fashion so he just nods. Sure, it can count.]
