WEEKEND ZERO: OVERFLOW

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

It could be worse. I'm surprised that this is the body I have, in this world -- that, at least, is the most fortunate part.

[ Her lips press together, brows curving. There's something in the back of her head -- a whisper -- that makes Marie feel as if she might collapse. The voice so familiar and with a memory she only recently remembers. ]

[Fortunately, Kashuu is about the best person for anyone who has Secrets to talk to, because he is the least likely to pry. He just nods, looking understanding.]

[Normally he's a little more delicate, but also, everyone is so weird here?? TALKING OPENLY ABOUT SUCH WEIRD THINGS. Wild.]

But! If it's a good thing that you've got this body here, then I'm glad for that, at least. Sounds like you just kinda bounced from one really complicated situation right into another though, huh?

Yeah, it is. It's baaasically the most important thing I have, so...

[Being without it is distressing, for many reasons. His shoulders rise a little, though; he already had his Big Panic about it earlier, as privately as he could.]

Nothing bad will happen to you if we can't find it, right?

[Internally looking at the camera like he's on the office.

Externally, he just laughs, but it's his I'm Tired laugh.]

No, but I've never been without it for long at all, so it feels super weird.

[ If this man takes the 3-in-1 shampoo and doesn't share with Marie after this...

I see. So it's sentimental to you -- [ She dusts her skirt off, pushing herself back onto her feet after checking some random bed or whatever. ] It seems many of us are missing our weapons for one reason or another.

[STOP HE'D ONLY STEAL A HIGH END HAIR CARE PRODUCT which he would absolutely share with his favs and his favs only (ie everyone who is remotely nice in his direction wow).]

You could say that, yeah.

[He just wholeass sticks one of his arms through a hole in the wall, patting around inside for a second before peering in to look. Nothing... Not even a little rude mouse.]

--But yeah, seems like it. Weapons - even armor, sometimes? I've heard of a couple other things being gone, too. And tons of people! So many of the guys who woke up out there said they were literally just with someone else.

Oh.

I hadn't even thought about that... but I was just reunited with my club members. For a moment I thought I had just been taken somewhere else within my world.

[slashay]

Yeah... I was with a few people before I woke up here, too, but none of 'em were there.

[Making a vague handgesture in the general direction of "back out the mansion", toward the central portal area.]

Since this seems like a totally different place, I wonder if that means they're still back where we left them? Or if they're somewhere else...
