WEEKEND ZERO: OVERFLOW

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

Mmm... It's like intuition! Kinda. Y'know how sometimes you just get a feeling in your gut that something's wrong, or that you should do something, or that something's about to happen? It's a little like that.

A feeling in your gut... I wish you could share how that feels. But, I think I sorta understand.

[ maybe. she nods assuredly, yes. a Feeling. ] I sometimes feel that way right before Hermes gets sneezed on!

I wish I could, too. It's pretty reassuring to be connected like that, y'know?

[Though he's definitely laughing at her comparison... WHO IS THIS SUFFERING HERMES.]

Wow! That's a talent, I don't think I know anyone who can predict a sneeze. Does this Hermes person get sneezed on a lot?

I could, normally! As an entelechy, I have the ability to feel other's thoughts... and feelings.. but I can't currently.

[ it is a sad thing. her abilities!!! whomst blocking!! ]

Hehe... I can't really predict a sneeze, but I get the feeling when something might happen. Most of the time... things go "smoothly", as Hermes says. But sometimes the other creations want to play or they.. wander off.

[WHOMST BLOCKING. He looks a little surprised, though!]

Eh? Wow! I've never heard of that term before... Entelechy, huh? Sounds kinda complicated.

[Swords have a form of entelechy and sometimes it goes horribly wrong, rip to them. BUT!! After a second of distraction:]

I get the feeling that we might be talking about different types of sneezes, then, since most people don't sneeze out stuff that goes wandering off after.

[ Emotions! Feelings! Thoughts! ]

Oh, no! [ Hands clasp over her mouth, giggling. ] The ampelos! Those are the ones doing the sneezing! They are very large, their sneezes can blow you away!

[ she'll crouch down and start drawing on the dirt, making a vague shape of... this? it's a silly child-like drawing okay. she draws herself next to it she's like barely to its knee. LORG BEAST ] See..?

Being emotionally driven isn't a bad thing, I think! But emotions can be really complicated in general.

[Emotions, feelings and thoughts! Sometimes it's nice to just be an unthinking lump of metal, man...

BUT!! He'll lean over to watch her start drawing and holy shit why is this weird potato-lookin' guy so HUGE.]

Oh my god... If something like that sneezed on me, I'd literally die on the spot.

[Not because he'd get blown away, but THINK OF THE STUFF COMING OUTTA THAT THING'S NOSE.]

There's a lot to feel.. and learn.

[ And feeling it from others?? Honestly, would much rather be a lump of metal with no thoughts head empty. Alas. She is but a hyper-empathic bird child.

Anyways, giggling at him again. ]

It sneezes mostly.. with its mouth, too! [ a mouth sneezer, mouth all wide open. the horror ]

As many things to feel and learn as there are things that are alive, huh?

[A little nod... That is so much work. Maybe someday she'll be gifted with a blessed moment of lump-of-metal levels of head emptiness for a tiny rest.]

Ew—! That's nasty!! Someone teach that thing how to sneeze without being super gross!

[ honestly, that's probably right now. she's only got her own empty head for a bit but also overly thinking anyways. where's the Off button!! ]

It's still a newer creation so... maybe when I go back, it will have! [ maybe. thinking about going back home makes her a little sad. she misses it.

she quickly perks up though, wings twitching. ] Oh! I'm Meteion! I appreciate you.. taking the time to talk to me.

Hah, fingers crossed, right? [He's stressed just thinking about this nasty open-mouthed sneezer being... out there. Somewhere.

But! He perks up significantly at the introduction, doing a little curtsy in his many floofy chiffon skirts.] Nice to meet you! I'm Kashuu. We all sound like we're in the same situation, so we're basically comrades now! You can rely on me if you need anything.
