WEEKEND ZERO: OVERFLOW
WOW

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

I'm not good at stuff that makes me dirty either, though, so I'm not gonna go sticking my hands into anything gross.
[He says, and then gets pride goo'd.]

That's what Marceline and Finn are for.

[DON'T JUST TREAT YASUSADA LIKE A PENCIL.]

[ please stop ]

Yeah, spreading resources isn't a bad idea in a situation like this. Especially since just about everything seems like it could be gross to touch...

[His shoulders bunch up a little like he's suppressing a shudder.]
I wonder if that's the plan? Just, like, set us all loose in here and see who catches some weird strain of the plague first?
no subject
[ like covid.......... ]
I bet that Garou guy has it.
no subject
Huh? Who's Garou? [Somehow he manages to not meet that madlad until Saturday.] --Wait, is he the barfing guy?
[He was around to see that, though. That does seem like something a diseased person would do...]
no subject
[ just like a lil lad who
goes and barfs ]
no subject
[He does not share the sense of humor needed to appreciate this, but Garou does indeed seem like a funny lil lad.]
Maybe he just didn't take to world-travel well?
no subject
[ yeah. ]
no subject
...I mean.
[Like, how do you say "deserved" without sounding like an asshole??]
Well. I'll be surprised if barfing is all he does?
no subject
We'll have to keep an eye on him just in case any mutations occur.
no subject
D'you think it's gonna... y'know. [He makes a "creature bursting out of your chest" gesture.]
no subject
I cannot say that it's not completely off the table.
no subject
...Wow. Well, I don't wanna be anywhere near him when it happens.
