WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

clarte gently follows?]
Excuse me, sir... I don't mean to be a bother, but are you looking for someone?
no subject
Nobody.
[ Giving Clarte a look up and down... looks fairly hyur, aside from the, uh... wings. ]
What place or star are you from?
no subject
If you say so...
[they will let the matter drop, but. anyway, they seem to be pondering their answer to that question, as though it's not exactly a simple one.]
The moon, I suppose?
no subject
You don't have rabbit ears...
[ This seems contradictory to what he was told. ]
no subject
well]
Um... should I?
no subject
How about a subject change? ]
...What are you? The closest thing to a winged race I've seen is the Ixal and it's not even on their backs. Adding that they look more birdman than hyur.
no subject
The race has only ever been called the winged people. Not very creative, but simple enough.
I'm not familiar with the Ixal or hyur, though.
no subject
Thinking about it is only going to give him a headache. ]
Right... points for simplicity, then.
[ Good job. ]
Suppose you wouldn't if you're on the moon...
no subject
Well, I've been to one planet other than the moon, but I'm really only familiar with the Zerberiya continent. I wouldn't know much about anywhere else.
no subject
You've lost me. [ If it wasn't fairly obvious already. ] I suppose you haven't heard of Eorzea.
no subject
I'm afraid not. I only know of the Zerberiya continent to the west and the central continent of Miglance.
no subject
[ Though given the pretense that it's apparently parts of the moon, he wouldn't know shit. ]
...
Are you alive?
[ Sorry for the weird questions, he just. There's a lot going on. ]
no subject
I was just resurrected, so I would hope I am. [anyway] Do you think this is the afterlife? It doesn't look like the Purgatory I visited once, but I think that doesn't mean much right now.
no subject
[ ...He briefly has a grim expression on his face and a scowl.
That is, unless we're shades speaking to shades... ]
no subject
no subject
[ Just staring at him like. ]
Suppose we're all on the brink of a worldly decimation.
no subject
no subject
[ It can be hypothetical?! ]
..Literally, with meteors falling from the sky and monstrosities abound.
[ I GUESS. ]
Suppose it doesn't sound familiar to you, either.
no subject
no subject
[ Which is... fine, he supposes... but now he's even more lost. ]
You're not some sort of guide, are you?
no subject
no subject
Then I suppose you're just as lost as I am.
[ Foregone conclusion but it's not like he puts that much thought into the words he says. ]
