WEEK SIX: MINGLE
MINGLE

A bittersweet victory, isn't it? You solved everything this past weekend. No mysteries were left unsolved, and now things seem to have settled down. Of course, there's surely plenty on your mind by now. As always though, time marches on. You must keep moving ever onward.
At the far end of the park in the central node, you'll hear the faint sound of rumbling as something new appears. The Prism is opening itself to you all, showing you what it's capable of, and providing you with space to explore.
For those of you feeling particularly daring, you are free to explore a bit further on your own. But even before you leave the apartments, perhaps you'd like to pay a visit to the gumball machine in the lobby.
Strange. Some of you may have gained or lost a color since this time last week, but it's not like many of you will ever tell. In fact, many of you are very, very bad at sharing. Many of you continually suppress your own emotions whether for the sake of others, or in order to go unnoticed. It's hard to say what your motivations are sometimes. This week, however, the suppression... isn't exactly for the best. You may feel a strange twinge in your chest, a slightly uncomfortable tickle in your throat, and then before you can stop it, you find yourself coughing up a handful of flowers. All different shades, all representing your hidden feelings, this disease takes its hold and infects everyone in the Prism. Too bad the timing isn't always the most convenient either.
Finally, as always, you may contact the residents at any time. They may even have something new for you to do.

Welcome to your week six mingle for

Things of note:
► This week's effect is hanahaki! Yup. For all suppressed emotions characters may be feeling, after some time they'll find themselves coughing up flowers in different colors representing those feelings.
► The flowers can be any type you want for the aesthetic. It can be one or two flowers, or it can be a lot of them. Whichever way you wish to play it is fine.
► Moida submissions continue to be open!
► More to come... keep your eyes and ears open.

We were taken through an archway to a forest of... talking animals. [ wrinkling his nose ] They told us that the owner of a nearby cottage could perhaps help us if we waited long enough. We just ended up being stuck in the cottage for a week instead with a cabinet full of weapons and a bad smut book.
Eventually, we were able to leave, and encountered a witch in a hut. She said she would offer us help in exchange for a bargain. She was quite dramatic about it and... rude. She sniffed us a lot... [ :| ] Eventually, she gave us these small dolls, semblances of those we were looking for, but it wasn't long before we were separated in a rather large wood full of bramble full of all sorts of illusions.
[ he hums ] When had to separate after that once more, into four separate tunnels. I can only speak for myself, but it felt as though a couple of weeks had passed going through that tunnel, in a place i knew well... though I didn't tire or grow hungry, I simply felt as though time had passed. We reunited when we made it out at an oasis after that.
It was full of animals in all shapes and colors, all species, even ones I'm certain I've never seen before, but just beyond them we could see some animals had been petrified... and then... some people as well. [ he pauses ] Turns out there were monsters that could turn you to stone if you held their gaze long enough.
[ there's a moment where he just kind of rubs his eyes under his glasses. ] You can assume what happened next—we... had to fight them and ended up defeating them all... despite everything. As it turns out, Shale's family was there, among the stone statues of our friends. They had a staff with a large pink crystal on it, which was able to reverse the petrification and send us home. We were able to bring it with us and have since returned it to him.
[ HE'LL JUST. GLANCE AT THE OTHER THREE if they want to throw in. this is just the general gist of their adventure. ]

Your "bad smut book" was quite helpful.

Hated that most of all. Even more than the forest and the tunnels.

team twewy - riff side
Damien, Marceline, and I ended up in Riff's world, from his memories. Esti-san, Garou, and Emet were there too, I think together with Himawari? Since they're from the same world... we didn't see them at first, though.
We had to use "pins" to fight animal monsters, and get stamps on a card--I don't think that part was all that important, aside from learning how to fight and "sync" properly. But eventually we found Riff, or some illusion of him, being attacked. ...Ah, people from our world were around too, but we didn't talk to them.
[Thanks Marcy.]
Anyway, we had to rescue him, and it was a hard fight, but he helped us. But while we were fighting, we could hear his thoughts, and sense his emotions. [He looks down at his lap.] It wasn't good. I don't know how he's feeling now, but he was really suffering.
After that, all of us met up with Esti-san and Himawari's group. But Himawari and Riff... I think they might've been refracting? Or something like it. They turned into a huge monster, and it took all of us to defeat them and bring them back to themselves. They were having a really hard time--when we read their thoughts, it felt like they were "losing" and "drowning". We had to remind them who they were, and that everyone here was waiting for them.
It sounds like they got more memories back, after all of that.

team twewy: bass side
[he's saying this all in as businesslike a manner as he can. it's fine. give him a second to discreetly cough a couple flowers into his hand.]
When we found Bass-- mayhap the strangest element of all of this was that elements of the prism were there. His archway was there in the city, and he was in his first form here, rather than his current shape. Garou was separated from us, but Estinien and I were taken to the same grey space we see every Sunday. [so. also bad.] We defeated a creature, there, and were able to rescue him.
The rest, Yasusada has explained, but... Bass evidently remembers small parts of what happened. Not what we restored to them, but what actually occurred in the city.
[but that's all he's saying on that for bass's own privacy.]

[ time to be helpful and not just talk about asses: ]
When Yasu, Soosh, Damien and I went on our little adventure to the castle a few weeks ago, there were a lot of parallels to this place. Soosh said something about it when he was talking to Vin, and it reminded me.
Ours was about the difference between "safe and stagnant" and "taking risks for growth." When we first got there, I could barely remember anything about this place, or anyone, or who I was. We remembered the more terrible shit we went through, too. Not to mention, at the end... at least, for me, the person who I saw from here was definitely refracting. Didn't know that then, but now, it feels obvious. There was a lot of stuff in it tied to our emotions, too.
Also wanted to mention, too. The first thing happened to us there - we could've fought a monster, and I think I definitely would've fought it, but Yasu stopped me, and we ended up befriending it, instead.
Iunno how much of its relevant, but Soosh brought it back up from the dead, so I figured I'd bring it back here, too.

[THEIR CHILD.]
They didn't remember their name. Or--they didn't really have an identity, before we gave them one, and made their cake.
[...]
That sketchbook I saw, in the first room--the pictures towards the end of it were unsettling. And I felt sad, after I finished looking through them.

...yeah. I remember - there were drawings of us after we finished helping Kagemaru. And then we went to the next room, and everything went to shit. Quickly.
[ ... for the first time, vax clears his throat, and then has to stop, coughing violently into his hand. the flowers are blue, larkspur, petals colored a vibrant teal.
... ]
... But Soosh got us out, when it felt like we were gonna be stuck. Remember?
