A bittersweet victory, isn't it? You solved everything this past weekend. No mysteries were left unsolved, and now things seem to have settled down. Of course, there's surely plenty on your mind by now. As always though, time marches on. You must keep moving ever onward.

At the far end of the park in the central node, you'll hear the faint sound of rumbling as something new appears. The Prism is opening itself to you all, showing you what it's capable of, and providing you with space to explore.

For those of you feeling particularly daring, you are free to explore a bit further on your own. But even before you leave the apartments, perhaps you'd like to pay a visit to the gumball machine in the lobby.

Strange. Some of you may have gained or lost a color since this time last week, but it's not like many of you will ever tell. In fact, many of you are very, very bad at sharing. Many of you continually suppress your own emotions whether for the sake of others, or in order to go unnoticed. It's hard to say what your motivations are sometimes. This week, however, the suppression... isn't exactly for the best. You may feel a strange twinge in your chest, a slightly uncomfortable tickle in your throat, and then before you can stop it, you find yourself coughing up a handful of flowers. All different shades, all representing your hidden feelings, this disease takes its hold and infects everyone in the Prism. Too bad the timing isn't always the most convenient either.

Finally, as always, you may contact the residents at any time. They may even have something new for you to do.

Things of note:
► This week's effect is hanahaki! Yup. For all suppressed emotions characters may be feeling, after some time they'll find themselves coughing up flowers in different colors representing those feelings.
► The flowers can be any type you want for the aesthetic. It can be one or two flowers, or it can be a lot of them. Whichever way you wish to play it is fine.
► Moida submissions continue to be open!

PART 2

[ Welcome to Scarlet Week! As you find yourself finishing whatever you were doing in Part 1 - namely, blowing it off, making plans to deface things, talking about a home you will never return to - you’ll feel as much as hear a crash of lightning from around you, flashing overhead across the Prism. Apparently Steel has reached her limit with it. It ripples with pink, and then, red, shifting like light through a. Well. Prism. Steel’s voice following is thunderous, no matter where you are, you can hear it as it shakes the ground around you. ]

Enough of this– I am tired of it! With some time to reflect, you will come to see that I am correct– I am trying to spare you further disappointment!

[ Everyone’s phones go off at once - a notification that you’ve been blocked from the network. You’ll feel yourself start to be pulled out of place and suddenly, you’re in a dungeon. Stone walls and iron bars, the typical fare. But after a moment, the scene flickers and falters, cracking like a sheet of glass and a pink quartz archway opens nearby - whether you intend to or not, you’ll find yourself going through. It’s a similar feeling to the one you have on execution days, except this time, you’ll find yourself in the vast, open arena. It’s pitch black, dust hanging in the air like snow, but every hair on the back of your neck is standing up - the whole room is filled with the thrum of electricity. She seems surprised at first - to be in this place too. It hadn’t been the intention, but between the past few days, the pressure, the burning scarlet anger - the only thing she wants is to protect this place, you, and be met with nothing but refusal to give up - the sky crashes with thunder again. As you all arrive she changes stances. Holding her sword in her hands at the ready for all of you. You only have a moment to gather your wits before it begins. ]

Very well. If this is how it must be, I will enforce order by force.

[ You’ll feel the ground under your feet turn to … sand? Drawn in it are endless patterns, stretching off into the distance. The sky is colorless and gray, swirling, while a dark sun sears at the edges of your vision, blotted out with the stark outlines of landscapes and buildings - maybe familiar, maybe not. Torii gates, mountains, an endlessly tall palace, locations from around the Prism. You won’t have much time to admire though, because Steel is incredibly fast, and at times there even seems to be more than one of her. Lightning crashes across the arena, and her sword. It’s sharp. I’d try and avoid it.

▶︎ Strategize! You can’t win a fight without a sound strategy. Get together in groups of three or four and start brainstorming what you can do to help out. Are you a combatant? A healer? An excellent negotiator? Your skills are your power.

▶︎ But speaking of power, you will also find that while your color was harder to summon before, now it seems to be freely flowing from you. In this space, you’re able to create more than you ever thought you could, utilize your color in new ways and combine it with the color of others to help change things.

▶︎ And the biggest change is Steel’s disposition…she is very, very unhappy. Good luck fighting her. She won’t be easy to subdue, but if you work together perhaps you’ll be able to come up with a way to take her down. ]

Oh boy. Okay. Over here - you'll be safe.

[if you stay behind the barrier, you won't have to fight. so this is definitely the better place to be. most problems can be solved by waiting them out, right? anyway, feel free to hang out in the noncombatant zone.]

i was at work for part one so she spent most of it asleep on the art project so she's got glitter all over her face. The effect means she watches steel throw a tantrum and just groans loudly ]

Does anyone have a gumball of sleep powder or some garbage, that's what you do with toddlers throwing tantrums, right.

- 's just like, this is what the execution place feels like. If you've got stuff from home, you should be able to use it with the right kind of color. Mess around with it, just don't overdo it.

wow, she wishes she had nifty healing powers to draw on from her own memories. since she doesn't, she'll just have to use what she's seen from other people's memories for inspiration.]

Okay, our ideas for a plan so far—

Some people think we should distract or restrain her, at least to make fighting her more easy. People have brought up creating illusions of her home or things from her memory...?

Then, fighting her—Shale supports this. The idea isn't to seriously hurt her, but make her realize that we're stronger than she thinks. That as much as we appreciate her help, we don't need her to protect us. That this isn't her responsibility, given that she takes too much onto herself right now.

And, of course, if anyone can assist with creating armour or weapons for those who need it, that'd be helpful.

Then... I suppose we should reinforce this with words or nonviolent action? Um, hug her, maybe? Let her know that she's not alone, anyway. Or put her to sleep, as Itsuki has volunteered.

[to cover what was discussed in coordination: maybe like 1-2 groups for distracting her/slowing her down, 1-2 groups for combat, and then 1-2 groups for talking it out, distinctions between groups not necessarily firm.

TALKING DOWN GROUP

Hot Pants, Damien, Clarte, and Su Jiuqing are going to bring up the end of the group to try to get Steel to calm down after everybody has had their turn!

Damien will chew on his Imprint gumball to imprint the thought of "calm down" on Steel. Even if this only has a mild/moderate effect, Hot Pants will attempt to keep her disoriented but still if she seems like she's acting up by spraying her flesh-colored putty from her spray can into Steel's eyes and/or lasso around her arms and torso with a vine rope made from her Verdant powers. If Steel attacks during this time, Clarte will throw up barriers to protect the group with their color. When it seems Steel is in a state to listen, or at least is calmed down enough to talk, Jiuqing will step forward to give a level, calm speech of Friendship to try to appeal to Steel that anger and rigid justice is not the way to go, and they're All In This Together (cue high school musical music). The other two will also help with this Friendship speech where they can, just to let Steel know that she's not alone, they won't leave her alone, and with her help they can work together to solve whatever is happening in this place and help everyone.

Damien is just going to brood as he is wont to do. Broodmaster.

goth squad aka combat/distraction

emet: is going to be trying to engage her directly with his sword and his tank capabilities! the goal is to keep attention on him as much as possible through both attacking directly and trying to position himself between her and others she might be trying to harm. he makes for a very big target, in that sense. in addition to the sword he'll be using an offensive shadow spell or two if he loses her attention or ends up out of range to attack in melee, and will shield himself or another person in an emergency if it looks like a hit will be Spicy.

vax: will be sneaking up on raiden while she's distracted by lightning / another combat group / whatever and going for a sneak attack, then engaging raiden in aerial combat with his dagger dagger daggers. he'll be switching between melee and ranged hits, and will be moving and flying around like an annoying bird with knives, then moving in and out of hiding as necessary to continue trying to use the distraction to get sneak attacks in when he can.

percy: going to use ranged lightning attacks to keep her off of vax in the sky by basically clashing with her electricity or using his verdant complementary to create vines to block strikes if possible (our lightning could totally collide and be really really cool and stuff, I think doing a clash would be really fun like once or twice if mod wants, or using a vine forces him to have to ground the electricity, which would be pretty dope). will also use ranged electricity finger guns pew pew. will circle her and create openings for big dps to punch through.

frontal combat aka no braincells only swords (and lance)

Yasusada, Kashuu, Prompto and Estinien are going the "just fight Steel really hard a lot to try tiring her out" route! None of them are holding back because they are pretty sure she can handle it,,

They're trying for a cross formation with the swords at the sides, Prompto at the back and Estinien coming in from the front.

Prompto and Yasusada use amber and marine to make shields if necessary, with Estinien adding to the shields where needed. Kashuu and Estinien are both ready to bust out their scarlet flame-throwers if it looks like it's necessary. All of their weapons and clothing are reinforced with metallic, along with metallic-created armor. Their aim is to keep her aggressively engaged and fall back when other combatants are engaging her so they can conserve strength, i.e. taking turns with any other combatant group when necessary!

Kazunari - helping with the illusion and using marine to create realistic water effects
Nogiku - imbuing the illusion with amber and using scarlet to add fire to the tentacles
Danny - shooting lasers and using sunrise to help boost illusion team

They're all keeping their distance from Raiden!! (we're letting the combat groups stand in front hell yeah)

distract/combat to disarm

crow is using color to create multiple illusions of himself and charging at steel!

while ruby moves fast to get behind steel, leaping into the air and bringing her scythe down. this is to get steel to raise her sword, making an opening for vin!

as both ruby and crow move in to both distract and fight steel, vin will move in with them. she'll be using her powers to try and repel steel's sword back to try and disarm her, while trying to make sure neither ruby or crow are wounded during the encounter!

YOUR DID IT

Enough!

[ Steel - or whatever her name is at this moment - drops to her knees, breathing hard. With her last burst of energy, she pushes back everyone standing too close to herself (even you, group huggers). It doesn’t hurt, but you’re pushed away towards the edges of the arena. Every pattern in the sand is scuffed, the torii gates and palaces and trees at the edges all retreat back into nothingness and dust.

There’s a little cat band playing that abruptly stops, the last notes of Mambo No. 5 fading into silence. The deep gorge in the middle of the arena beginning to stitch itself back together already, all of the energy in the air starting to disperse - suddenly it feels almost oppressively empty in here again, all of the pink and red and orange fading away from the edges, the tears in reality reforming themselves.

She stands on her feet again, ignoring all of you to go retrieve her sword, and then pulling up another pink quartz arch and stopping in front of it, observing you all.]

If this …

[ she stops, halting, as if she’s not used to admitting being … possibly wrong? ]

If this is truly what you desire, then I will not stand in your way. I suppose I have … some considerations to make.

[ And then she walks through the arch, shutting it behind her. You are all free to exit the arena, and you’ll find your color powers are restored to their normal levels. whomp whomp. You might be a little bruised and battered, but it seems she never truly had the intent to kill: nothing will be life-threatening in terms of injuries. But it was fun while it lasted, right? ]
