A bittersweet victory, isn't it? You solved everything this past weekend. No mysteries were left unsolved, and now things seem to have settled down. Of course, there's surely plenty on your mind by now. As always though, time marches on. You must keep moving ever onward.

At the far end of the park in the central node, you'll hear the faint sound of rumbling as something new appears. The Prism is opening itself to you all, showing you what it's capable of, and providing you with space to explore.

For those of you feeling particularly daring, you are free to explore a bit further on your own. But even before you leave the apartments, perhaps you'd like to pay a visit to the gumball machine in the lobby.

Strange. Some of you may have gained or lost a color since this time last week, but it's not like many of you will ever tell. In fact, many of you are very, very bad at sharing. Many of you continually suppress your own emotions whether for the sake of others, or in order to go unnoticed. It's hard to say what your motivations are sometimes. This week, however, the suppression... isn't exactly for the best. You may feel a strange twinge in your chest, a slightly uncomfortable tickle in your throat, and then before you can stop it, you find yourself coughing up a handful of flowers. All different shades, all representing your hidden feelings, this disease takes its hold and infects everyone in the Prism. Too bad the timing isn't always the most convenient either.

Finally, as always, you may contact the residents at any time. They may even have something new for you to do.

Things of note:
► This week's effect is hanahaki! Yup. For all suppressed emotions characters may be feeling, after some time they'll find themselves coughing up flowers in different colors representing those feelings.
► The flowers can be any type you want for the aesthetic. It can be one or two flowers, or it can be a lot of them. Whichever way you wish to play it is fine.

Hopefully someone's wandering around near the volcano today! Because an archway opens up right over top of the mountain itself, dropping out some rather unfortunate souls right to their magma-encrusted deaths.

Except the first one out manages to grab hold of some rocks at the ledge, first. It's a death-tight, white-knuckled grip and it'll be the first thing anyone rushing to their aid will see (or you can simply choose to let them perish, that too is fine). Soon after, a voice shouts out:]

HELP—!!

[As the next person plummets from above, he reaches out to snatch them by the hand...]

[the next person is a tiny blur as she goes past, shrieking, until her wrist is grabbed onto. from her current position dangling down below, it's hard to make out exactly who it is based on sight, but anyone nearby will recognize it as vin's voice as she echoes kashuu's sentiment. there's something very pained about the way she's speaking.]

Help! Help, I—

[and then another person comes falling past, and she though she nearly fumbles, she's reaching out to grab them on instinct.]

Kashuu, I can't hold him for much longer—

well, maybe this case of mistaken identity isn't so surprising. it's very difficult to tell who vin is clutching to - they're absolutely covered and stained in a black, tarlike substance, though it's mingling with the red of fresh blood, too.

vin catches the figure, and their grip is tight. luckily, they're pretty light? it's probably fine.]

Nngh—

[there's a grunt of pain, as with her free hand, jiuqing tries to find a handhold on the wall of the volcano.

help please.




as the three of them are struggling to not fall in, a single boot falls out of the archway and lands in the lava, sizzling unpleasantly.]

[HELP HELP THEY'RE ALL DAISY CHAINING THIS but it's fine there's probably enough people hoisting at them collectively that they won't die about it (unamused)... Anyway he doesn't have a lot of strength left but he'll use whatever he can to help everyone helping them, trying to haul his other weights up along with him so they're closer for others to grab and hoist.]

ruby is SPRINTING!!!! right up behind yams to reach for the other two.]

[as yasusada pulls kashuu up, vin gets dragged up since she's holding onto him, which means ruby has a chance to grab onto her and tug. as she gets pulled up, it's going to become pretty obvious that there's some stuff going on here, wow.

why did she say him before, for starters? it might be because, judging on the deep claw marks scratching over both of her eyes, she can't actually see anything. as for why she looks so incredibly unsteady as she moves onto the volcano, there's a variety of reasons! one might be the blood loss - she has a bad looking bite wound in one arm, and the other arm is both burned and has what looks like a stab wound. there are also more claw marks scratching over her knee, and just - general scratches, scrapes and bruises everywhere.

the biggest indicator of why she looks so unsteady, though, is probably the sizable wound in her chest.

so yeah she's collapsing as soon as she's pulled up sorry ruby]

[ pushes her hair out of her face, then tears a piece of her cape off and applies pressure to the chest wound.

once she's on solid ground, jiuqing's head turns briefly in ruby's direction before she slumps over. it's fine, she's just gonna take a nap. hold your gf, ruby, vin is right there]

they're getting hauled up! hot pants is probably able to grab jiuqing's hand as they're being pulled up. her grip is tight while they're still dangling, but -

she slumps over basically immediately once they're on solid ground again.]

vax went out patrolling when yasusada told him who was missing earlier and the minute he shows up he's fucking bolting through the volcano, off the path, and leaping down the rock face. he's not got super strength but he absolutely has strong arms so he's grabbing vin's wrist, hard. ]

Vin, doc! Don't let go, don't let go - !

[she looks briefly in vax's direction once they're pulled up off the side of the volcano -

and then slumps over.

[she's a little unstable, her grip not as strong as it might ordinarily be because of some nonsense going on, but he can pull her up!! bless him.

she's passing out as soon as he does, though.]

jiuqing is pretty well-behaved until they get up onto solid ground - struggling too much would definitely end in at least one of them falling into the lava - but once they're on solid ground?



the sound of estinien's voice makes her flinch, and she backs away ineffectually. (ineffectually, because she's heavily wounded - it's hard to tell what the wounds are, but when she scoots away, it's a mixture of that black, congealed substance and fresh blood that stains the ground.]
