Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.

Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.

Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.

Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to chroma! While characters have access to the locations available, they do not have access to anything else including their home items. Please note that characters do not know what their primary color or complementary colors are as of yet, and IC profiles are not in-play at this time.

Things of note!

► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.

Indeed... It's all very strange. I'm not surprised some people are wondering if this is some sort of afterlife.

[November at the start you literally said this was hell even when you didn't mean it in the slightest, what do you mean with 'are they?']

I suppose it's not impossible. Would you find it alarming if it turns out we're in the afterlife?

I wouldn't be alarmed, exactly. Just surprised, considering I was rather recently resurrected.

Were you? How did that happen?

[November looks pretty surprised, but certainly not in disbelief!]

Well, it's complicated... I suppose the simplest way to explain would be that I received a copy of my body to transfer myself to.

[November makes mental note of that. He doesn't seem surprised in the slightest about such a statement, finding it plausible]

Regardless, this probably isn't the afterlife. I cannot ascertain what this is, exactly, but us being dead probably isn't it.

[He says that even though what he was literally dying before coming here. As he sees it even in such situation it's far likelier some Contractor or someone got him before he died and saved his life, probably with some plan in mind]

I was trying to travel between planets. Nothing too extreme...

[You know, November considers a lot of things in the realm of possibility, but everything about Clarte is definitely beginning to seem even a little bit too fantastical for his standards. If it was just one thing he could take it, but it's like there's more and more piling up and making this one seem so incredibly unusual.

For a moment all he can do is stare]

Good to know it's not me reaching the end of my suspension of disbelief.
