WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

[ well. this isn't where crow was expecting to be. he shivers a little at the unwavering cold that seems to have come out of nowhere, and glances around slowly, like he's trying to piece together some sort of idea of where he is or what's going on.
he's not getting much. ]
This seems like a pain in the ass.
[ he's not wrong. what the heck is wrong this place. ] Did I hit my head or something? [ he lifts his arm and stares at it for a moment, before doing the same with his other arm. what the fuck. ]
b. laboratory.
[ enter the lab later on, and you'll find... crow! despite the strangeness of whatever's in those large test tubes, he doesn't seem too concerned by what he's seeing. weird? yes. but whatever these things are aren't moving and are behind glass, so it's probably fine, right?
right.
which is why he's rapping his knuckles on the glass and grinning slightly when there's seemingly no reaction from whatever's in the tubes. ]
Talk about a terrible place for a nap. Still, do me a favour and stay in there, will you? It'd be a pain to have to deal with you without a weapon.
[ do not fight the lab montrousities, please and thank you. ]
c. mansion
[ after a wander around the mansion, SOMEONE seems to have found himself a room that would come under the bracket of "suitable for shelter", complete with a bed that doesn't appear to be broken or trying to fall apart under the weight of expectant, hopeful stares.
he looks at whoever else has appeared in the doorway. and then down at the bed.
and then he just flops forward onto it, almost stubbornly. from the depths of monochrome pillows, there's a muffled: "fight me for it", even if it doesn't sound especially serious or aggressive. give the man a little time in dreamland. ]
mansion
...ah. Enjoy?
[Yup he won't argue over it. He does sound defeated though.]

gives atsushi a thumbs up. ]
Thanks, I'm gonna.

Want me to stand sentry for you if you need some time to rest?

If you're offering to bat bed thieves away, I'm not gonna say no.

[he'll move to stand at the doorway then, crossing his arms]
Rest well! I'll be here.

It really don’t think it can hear me. And hey, if it can maybe it’ll remember me as a nice young man that talked to it in its time of loneliness and isolation and come for me last.

At least Kashuu doesn't seem interested in taking the bed, though. He moves over to stand nearby, setting a hand on his hip as he looks down.]
Are you worried about all the nasty stuff that's dried onto that? Especially since you probably can't see all of it without colors...
