WEEKEND ZERO: MINGLE
GREETINGS

Unnerving. That may be the best word to describe how the vibes feel as your sight begins to clear and you find yourself on the ground. The air is chilly, and you don't see anything that may represent the sun or the moon for a sense of time. You look around expecting to find some sort of buildings, wildlife, or anything of use, but your immediate line of vision only shows a sprawling monochrome landscape.
Are you feeling adventurous? As you get to your feet, you have the opportunity to wander further and begin assessing the situation. You'll quickly find that the only thing on your person are the clothes on your back. Traveling will eventually lead you to a few areas, though none of them appear very promising either.
Don't stray too far, however. While there are few hints of plant life (nothing nourishing, nothing satisfying), you won't find much else. There's no food or running water; resources seem scarce. The further you go, the more you begin to feel colder and weaker. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you, and everything ahead of you looks unfocused and even more gray than before. An imminent sense of danger hangs above you...you can't quite pinpoint why, but your gut instinct says there's something else out there just lying beyond your reach.
Perhaps you'll have luck another day. For now, it seems as though your only option is to make use of the areas you do have access to and try to settle in. But don't worry, you aren't alone. There's 35 other people just waiting to see what you'll do next.

Welcome to your weekend zero intro to
Things of note!
► You can find food (cotton candy, stale hot dog buns with no hot dogs, etc) in the carnival, but none of it is filling. It's monochrome, and you're hungry again five minutes later.
► There's water in the mansion but it's kind of grey.
► Seriously, it's cold.
► You arrive in your canon outfit. It is also monochrome, like someone drained the dye out of your clothes.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend, and happy settling!

Well, no point in pondering things for long. November gets up to his feet, shakes his head and looks around. Ah, people! How neat]
Looks like we're all stuck in hell. That's too bad.
[November 11 sure said that with the same cadence one would comment about how it's a nice weather today. He doesn't really believe this is hell, yeah]
no subject
[she doesn't think it's hell either, but also. ??? sir your attitude??? she's been feigning calm pretty decently, and she's trying to get a read on whether he's just faking it until he makes it, or if he actually is calm.]
no subject
[Yup, definitely not feigning calm. This guy either has nerves of steel or just plain doesn't care where he is right now. He's interested, but not alarmed in the slightest! He even keeps up the whole 'this is hell' thing, apparently not considering it in bad taste]
no subject
[she smiles.]
I haven't, so I'd say we're somewhere else.

why do you sound like you know ]

[November shrugs, searches in the pockets of his suit, and takes out a pair of sunglasses, putting them on. They're...really banged up. One of the lenses is cracked and has a hole in them and all, the other isn't much better. Upon putting them on it feels like November immediately put a bunch of walls up -- this is a guy in full control of himself, yup]
Then the obvious mystery is where we are right now, then. Any ideas?
[Yup, November had said that so others would reply and he could prod them to talk. As he sees it, doing it this way works better than outright going to someone and asking for information]
no subject
[ the cracked glasses sure are a look. this is like percy at his workshop levels of weird... ]
You got a little something on your face. [ ... ] Lack of something, really. [ gesturing... at his sunglasses area... ]

Wouldn't hell be a fitting place for a horror movie? Eternal torment is a fear people have.

[ casually answering him from where she's sitting on the ground for some reason? ]
Not enough fire and demons. Trust me.

[Upon seeing Marceline November's guard immediately goes up. Now this is more like what he expected -- something that hints a potential Contractor. In his head he's already trying to evaluate what sort of danger she may represent. It's kind of an unfair thing to be thinking and he knows it, but you can never be too careful.
Outwardly, though, he keeps a smile while he puts on a pair of very ruined sunglasses. They're pretty much falling apart in their frames]
Where would you say we are at right now, then?
[Yup, this was pretty much so others would reply to him so he could get to ask. Outright approaching someone and asking for information would get other people wary, he thought]

But no seriously, the casual nature of that kind of a response is what throws Atsushi off.]
Is Hell really that underwhelming to you?

If this were to be one of the alleged Seven Hells, it wouldn't come to me as a surprise.

What he got here, though, was not what he expected at all]
I was unaware there was more than one in the first place.
[The hell comment definitely had been a joke but...okay, this got him curious, he has to ask for more details]

Even as a joke, you should be cautious of what you say... there's people here... [ who'll believe you, she doesn't add. ]
no subject
[November doesn't seem to care in the slightest there may be people gullible enough to believe his comment. He simply shrugs, adding:]
But I'll be more cautious in the future. My bad.
